THE CALGARY MILITARY HISTORICAL SOCIETY is a non-profit registered society which fosters the study of the military and police, the heritage of Canada, the British Empire and the world, and the preservation of military artifacts and records.
The CMHS provides:
A focal point for military enthusiasts to meet and exchange material and information, often with experts in many specific subjects;
Personal contact with other interested people on an international scale that is not likely available to the general public;
Access to reference and artifact sources not readily available to the general public;
A place for people of similar interests to socialize in an informal setting.
CMHS Membership entitles you to:
- Meet people with similar interests
- Attend monthly meetings
- Participate and display at CMHS exhibits
- Attend CMHS functions, including our annual levy
- Receive the monthly CMHS journal, Sabretache
- Publish articles in the CMHS journal and on the website
... and more!
Due to persistent spammer registration attempts, user account self-creation has been deactivated. There is no private content on our website, so it's not necessary to have a user account to access any of our online information. Users are, however, welcome — and encouraged — to join our society! Otherwise, just enjoy our content.
The CMHS site provides our members with meeting minutes, newsletters and other relevant news and information. Hopefully, too, it is a place of interest for military historians, aficionados and the general public alike.
